Program Description:

Students who enroll in the Associate in Arts in Accounting program have the opportunity to study accounting methods specific to investments, business partnerships, corporations, and inventory. The program is designed to provide students with an overview of business laws as well as introduce them to regulations and principles established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Other topics covered in the program include federal income tax accounting, payroll accounting, financial statement preparation, cash valuation, profit analysis, and job costing. In addition, the curriculum is intended to teach participants how to use Microsoft Excel and Peachtree Complete software programs.
